Blogging: Recycling Old Blog Posts Into New Information

Blogging can be a painstaking task when it comes to creating new content regularly in a specific niche.

If you've been blogging for some time now you have a treasure trove of content you're sitting on and you can use your current content to create new content.

Today I wanted to discuss some ways you can continue to provide valuable content to your readers and not have to stress over the fact of constantly having to come up with new ideas for a post.

5 Blogging Tips for New Content

Update Old Posts

Don't underestimate old posts.

You can always go back and look at old posts to see if the content is still relevant.

Things change rapidly over the internet so something you once wrote about may not be up-to-date since you last wrote it.

Pick through old posts and find new ways to re-write it or add in some new information.

Is there any new research on the topic that you could cover in a blog post?

Share that with your readers.

As you go through your archives, keep an eye out for ways you can reuse some of those valuable posts that are just sitting in your blog's archives.

Take a new approach

If you have a way of writing your blog posts you can consider changing your approach.

Are you asking questions?

You can be more interactive with your readers and set up Q&A sessions with them.

The information you get from your readers can be used to turn into new and refreshing blog posts.

Learn something new

Is there a topic you've been looking over because you are afraid to tackle it?

Stretch your self and learn something new that can give you more information to give to your readers.

What more can you discover about your niche?

Have your views that you expressed in any old posts changed at all?

Write about how your views have changed--or how they are as firm as ever sharing what has had an impact on your views.

Create a blogging environment that is interaction and constantly evolving.

Tweet old posts

If you have a WordPress blog you can tweet old blog posts and get people talking about those posts.

You can create an interactive discussion with readers and gain new ideas.

You can also tweet old posts and ask readers how you can improve upon them.

Any information you get can be used to update old posts or create totally new posts with the information you received.

More often than not people will be willing to give you the information you need to make your blog better.

Utilize Facebook

Along with Twitter you can utilize Facebook to get more hits and comments to old blog posts.

Post or repost old articles and get people to engage.

You posts can quickly get shared and exchanged all across Facebook creating a frenzy and gaining large amounts of traffic from work that's already been done.

Sharing your posts and asking question can go a long way in giving you new ideas to create new content.

Don't look past old content you have created.

Figure out ways to update or make it more refreshing.

Old posts can always be better.

Focus on creating awesome content for your readers.

Blogging doesn't have to be difficult and don't allow yourself to make it more difficult with over-thinking things.

Best Wishes!
